The “Power Pivot” in the golf swing in the golf swing is the motion I recommend to maximize your ability to transfer power in the golf swing.  In order to generate power, it is critical to start with a setup position that allows you to start the  direction of the club and your body in an athletic motion.
To help this happen, start with a setup position that allows you to move freely into your right side as shown above.  Notice how the stance is wider than the width of my shoulders, and how the upper body appears slightly tilted to the right.  From here, my body is ready to move in an athletic motion as I swing the club away from the ball.
